01 — SAFEGUARDING
Safeguarding Policy
Pikup Padel is committed to providing a safe environment for everyone who plays, trains, or works at our venue — particularly children and vulnerable adults. This policy sets out our commitment and how to raise a concern.
1 Our Commitment
We take the safety and wellbeing of all members, players, coaches, staff, and visitors seriously. Everyone has the right to enjoy padel free from abuse, harm, or exploitation, and safeguarding is the responsibility of everyone at Pikup Padel — not just designated staff.
2 Who This Applies To
This policy applies to all children (under 18) and vulnerable adults who use our courts, take part in coaching, attend events, or are otherwise present at our venue, whether as members, guests, or through a partner organisation.

If you have a concern about the welfare of a child or vulnerable adult connected to Pikup Padel, please contact our Safeguarding Lead directly, or email info@pikuppadel.co.uk marked "Safeguarding."
4 Coaching & Staff
All coaches and staff at Pikup Padel hold an appropriate Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, completed before starting work, and receive safeguarding induction as part of onboarding.
5 Reporting a Concern
If you are worried about the safety of a child or vulnerable adult, whether something you've witnessed, been told, or simply feel uneasy about, please tell us. You do not need to be certain — any concern raised in good faith will be taken seriously and treated confidentially, shared only with those who need to know in order to help.
6 Review
This policy is reviewed annually and updated in line with current legislation and best practice.
02 — EQUALITY, DIVERSITY & INCLUSION
Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Statement
Pikup Padel is committed to being a welcoming, inclusive club for everyone, regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation.
1 Our Commitment
We believe padel should be accessible to everyone, whatever their background or ability. We will not tolerate discrimination, harassment, or victimisation of any member, guest, coach, or member of staff, and we're committed to removing barriers that prevent people from taking part.
2 In Practice
This means we aim to:
-
Make our venue and booking process as accessible as possible
-
Recruit and coach on the basis of fair, objective criteria
-
Listen to and act on feedback about accessibility or inclusion
-
Take any report of discrimination or harassment seriously
3 Raising a Concern
If you feel you've experienced or witnessed discrimination, harassment, or unfair treatment at Pikup Padel, please contact us at info@pikuppadel.co.uk. All reports will be treated seriously and confidentially.

03 — CODE OF CONDUCT
Member & Visitor Code of Conduct
This Code sets out the standard of behaviour we expect from everyone at Pikup Padel — members, guests, coaches, and staff — so that our club stays a positive, welcoming place to play.
1 Our Expectations
While at Pikup Padel, or taking part in any Pikup Padel activity, we ask that everyone:
-
Treats other players, coaches, and staff with courtesy and respect
-
Plays fairly and in the spirit of the game
-
Respects court bookings, timings, and equipment
-
Refrains from abusive, threatening, or discriminatory language or behaviour towards any other person, whether on court, in shared spaces, or online (including reviews and social media)
2 What We Won't Tolerate
Bullying, harassment, or discrimination of any kind (see our Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Statement) will not be tolerated from members, guests, coaches, or staff. This includes behaviour based on age, disability, gender, race, religion, sex, or sexual orientation, and applies equally to conduct towards other members and towards our staff.
3 Making a Complaint
If you experience or witness behaviour that breaches this Code, please let us know at info@pikuppadel.co.uk or speak to a member of staff at the venue. We will look into every complaint and respond within a reasonable timeframe.
4 Consequences
Breaches of this Code may result in a warning, temporary suspension, or permanent removal of membership or venue access, depending on the seriousness of the conduct.
5 Review
